Hydrated Lime or Calcium Hydroxide is produced by reacting quick lime with water. Hydrated lime is used for water and sewage treatment, in sugar industry, as additive in asphalt, in building and roads construction, caustic soda, etc. 

Our Process of Manufacturing

Sriram Minerals focusses on providing the best quality and ensures delivery of products on time. Limestone is a sedimentary rock which occurs naturally. Lime production is a simple process which begins by extracting limestone from quarries.

Categorizing: The Limestone extracted from mines undergoes the process of crushing. The Limestone is categorized as per the various sizes desired.

Calcinating: The sized limestone is then input in the kiln alongwith exhaust gases that are pre heated. It is further heated to convert to quicklime. There are two stages involved in the process of calcinations:

• Calcining In the preheated air, the kiln fuel is burned andthe heat turns the limestone into quicklime and carbon dioxide (CO2). The reaction can be well depicted as under:
• Cooling - As the quicklime moves through the calcining zone, it gets cooled down as the cooling air passes by.

Hydration: The Quicklime so generated is further crushed and water is added to it. The proportion of this addition varies as per customer specifications. Through this process emanates Hydrated lime which is fine dry powder. We have 5 fine Hydrators to get the Best Proportion Material.
